About the UBS Evidence Lab US LNG Terminal Gas Inflow Tracker

This monitor estimates daily US terminal-level LNG production using data from EIA and FERC regulated pipeline informational postings. This data covers the volume of natural gas (MMcf/d) delivered by pipelines each day to the major US LNG export terminals listed below. The data is refreshed weekly and covers the full history of US LNG exports,starting in January 2016.

Why is This Unique?

This monitor estimates the amount of daily LNG produced at each major export terminal based on analysis of the relationship between historical gas deliveries and LNG exports (from EIA). The coefficients for LNG production losses are then used to estimate current LNG production by applying the LNG conversion loss coefficients to the daily feedstock volumes. This monitor also uses train (LNG production unit) level capacity data from EIA to track changes in baseload and peak capacity to produce LNG at the terminal level as new trains are brought into service.
